Brian Jemes joined the University of Idaho as Network Manager in 2006 and attended Westnet meetings beginning in 2011. He is active in various industry groups and serves on the Idaho Regional Optical Network Technical Advisory Committee.

Prior to his work in higher education, Brian led the cross-functional, network architecture team that produced designs and network management tools for major information technology projects at Hewlett-Packard, including the HP-Agilent split, the HP-Compaq merger and the HP Adaptive Network Architecture.

Brian has been developing innovative, enterprise-scale network solutions for 30 years with broad interest and experience in internet routing, network security, network management, DNS, wireless LAN, structured cabling, and cloud networking.
